Tatosian

Background

Dr. Tatosian was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Missouri–St. Louis before pursuing dental school at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he earned his DDS degree.

Following dental school, Dr. Tatosian completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Kansas City, then spent five years practicing general dentistry in St. Louis and Hawaii, including a faculty role at Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis — an experience that solidified his interest in teaching and specialty training.

Specialty Training

Dr. Tatosian pursued his endodontic specialty at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, earning his MS degree alongside his specialty certificate. He has been in private endodontic practice in Mission Viejo since 1992, making him one of the longest-tenured specialist endodontists in the South Orange County region.

He remains actively involved in continuing education and the profession through membership in multiple professional organizations.

Clinical Philosophy

With more than three decades of practice in the same community, Dr. Tatosian has built his reputation on consistency, precision, and a deep commitment to the referring doctors who trust him with their patients. He understands that endodontic care is a coordinated effort — and that how a specialist communicates with a referring office matters as much as technical skill.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest standard of specialty practice throughout his career.

Leadership & Service

Dr. Tatosian has served as President of the California State Association of Endodontists and as Chairman of the CDA's Endodontic Peer Review and Ethics, and is a former adjunct faculty member and mock oral board examiner for the USC endodontics program. He also helped to establish and operate a free dental clinic in Armenia, which provided dental care to orphans for over 20 years.

Personal

Dr. Tatosian is married with children and grandchildren. Outside the office he loves fly fishing and golfing — and always offers up a positive disposition.

Dr. Tatosian is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), Orange County Dental Society (OCDS), Southern California Academy of Endodontists, Southwest Society of Endodontists, and the California Society of Anesthesiology in Dentistry (CSAE).
